Jamestown, NY is 20 miles east of Erie, PA and 60 miles southwest of Buffalo, NY. Jamestown is located at the outlet of Chautauqua Lake. Chautauqua Lake is 17 miles long and is the highest fresh water lake east of the Mississippi River. Jamestown is known as the home of the famous comedienne, Lucille Ball.
